Lifeboat Muster, Drills, Launch, and Retrieval Best Practices
In the majority of emergency situations, the lifeboat is the most frequently used means of escape from an offshore oil installation or vessel. This training, part of the Lifeboat Inspection, Drills, Operation, and Maintenance Training Series, introduces maritime personnel to lifeboat safe operations. From mustering to retrieval, this program can be utilized as an additional resource for training crews.
Additionally, this course can be used as an invaluable “refresher” program to keep crews ready if an emergency abandonment is required.
And upon completing this program, the student should be able to Identify different types of lifeboats and davits and determine their launching procedures, and understand the process of mustering, conducting drills, and preparing to launch in an emergency. Length: 32 minutes
