Accidents happen. So even if you don't usually come into contact with blood on the job, you might when an accident occurs. You never know when you might need to administer first aid, clean up after an accident, or might get injured by a sharp object. And it's important to realize that anytime you have to deal with blood, there is potential for catching a disease from a bloodborne pathogen.
This course will increase awareness of bloodborne pathogens, so you know how to stay safe.
OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard applies to any worker who can reasonably anticipate job-related contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when combined with site-specific instruction. Length: 11 minutes
