This program will assist maritime organizations in ensuring the safety and security of cruise ship passengers traveling to and from American ports.
Completion of the program confirms that personnel have met the basic requirements defined by The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), and the Maritime Administration (MARAD) on crime prevention, detection, evidence preservation, and reporting.
This CVSSA training is given online through Moxie Media's Learning Management System. The curriculum may be taken from any location with internet connectivity.
After purchase has been made, the student will be sent registration information through email. Student will then register with the training provider and the training provider enrolls the student for the courses the student must complete. The training provider will have administrative access to the hosting site to monitor the students' progress and completion.

Acceptable forms of identification are:
- Merchant Mariner Document;
- National Passport;
- Armed Forces Identification Card;
