However, you wouldn’t know this to look at the statistics. In 2004, over 20 million people in the US were diagnosed with the disease. It is predicted that today, 1 out of 3 people born in the US will develop Type II diabetes.
The good news is that diabetes, one of the leading causes of blindness, amputation, and cardiovascular disease, can be controlled and prevented by changing dietary habits and avoiding sedentary lifestyles. Dr. Bunch will present the most common risk factors for this disease and describe the best methods that will effectively prevent and manage Type II diabetes.
